The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods. This role requires a strong understanding of flavor combinations, presentation techniques, and overall baking skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing treats.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, breads, and other baked goods
- Develop new recipes while also ensuring consistency in existing ones
- Decorate pastries with artistic designs using various icings, toppings, and fillings
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper baking techniques and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of desserts for service
- Communicate with customers to understand their preferences and accommodate special requests

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, flavor combinations, and presentation methods
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with new flavors and designs
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a culinary school is preferred
- Food handling certification is required
