Job Title: Librarian at Nizwa Public Library

Nizwa Public Library is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and promoting library services and resources to the community.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and maintaining materials
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources for research and reference purposes
- Promote library services and resources to the community through outreach events and programs
- Develop and implement innovative ways to engage patrons in using the library's resources
- Train and supervise library assistants in daily tasks and procedures
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship, technology, and information literacy
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and coordinate programming for all ages

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, research methods, and reference tools
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse patrons
- Ability to adapt to changing technology in libraries
- Biometric passport required for international applicants
