Pastry Chef
We are searching for an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Al-Khor. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods. Your role will involve overseeing the entire pastry department, from ingredient procurement to presentation and service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new recipes and menu items that appeal to our customers
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Manage cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus for special events or occasions
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Creativity and attention to detail in recipe development and plating presentations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with strong leadership skills
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma from a culinary school preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience working as a pastry chef in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Fluent in English
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Al-Khor, Qatar
