Executive Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team in Al Buraymi, Oman. As the head of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and delicious desserts for our restaurant and events. Your role will also involve managing a team of pastry chefs and ensuring high-quality production and presentation of desserts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new dessert recipes that are visually appealing and in line with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee the production of all pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to create custom desserts for special events or catering orders
- Stay updated on current trends in pastry making techniques, flavors, and ingredients
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or certification from a reputable institution
- Proven track record of creating unique dessert recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
