Librarian at Al-Kuwait Public Library

As a Librarian, your main responsibility will be to manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials. You will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's catalog system, helping patrons find resources they need, and providing excellent customer service to visitors.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a library or similar setting, with knowledge of cataloging systems and library management software. As this is a job for Malayalees in Al-Kuwait, proficiency in Malayalam would be an advantage. However, English is not required as we value diversity and inclusivity.
In addition to your daily duties, you will also have the opportunity to assist with library events such as book clubs, author talks, and educational workshops. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated to promoting literacy and lifelong learning within the community. Candidates must have good communication skills and enjoy working with people of all ages.
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$, along with accommodation provided by the library. We also offer free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses for our employees.
