Librarian


We are currently hiring a qualified Librarian to join our team in Jeddah. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research, and promoting library services and resources. Your duties will also include cataloging and shelving materials, maintaining the library's online catalog, and coordinating events or workshops for library users.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for literature and helping others. A degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred, along with previous experience working in a library setting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide recommendations for resources
- Promote library services and resources to increase usage among patrons
- Catalog books using an online system and shelve them according to the Dewey Decimal System or other classification methods
- Maintain the library's online catalog by updating records and ensuring accuracy of information
- Plan and coordinate events or workshops for library users to promote literacy or other educational goals

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is highly desired
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patrons of all ages
- Passion for literature and promoting literacy among community members
