Temporary Executive Chef in Salalah
We are currently hiring a Temporary Executive Chef to join our team in Salalah. As a leading hotel in the city, we are looking for an experienced and talented chef to oversee our kitchen operations during our peak season. This is a temporary position with a duration of 3 months, starting from November 2021.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered
- Create and implement new menus and dishes based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen area
- Monitor food costs and work towards maximizing profitability without compromising on quality
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination for events or special occasions
- Stay updated with industry trends and make recommendations for improvements in the kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a reputable hotel or restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, guests, and suppliers
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid work permit for Salalah or willingness to obtain one before starting the job
Benefits:
As our temporary Executive Chef, you will receive a competitive salary of 1700$ per month. We also provide accommodation during your stay in Salalah. Additionally, we offer visa sponsorship for non-Omani nationals.
