Instrument Technician
An Instrument Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of various types of instruments used in industrial processes. They work on a wide range of equipment, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and other control devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, as well as experience working with various types of instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on all types of instruments
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments
- Install new instruments and ensure they are functioning properly
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues with instrumentation
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve processes and equipment performance
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working on equipment
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies in instrumentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an instrument technician in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits and electronic systems
- Knowledge of various types of instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Malayalam is a plus
- Must have own visa or be eligible for employment in Lusail
