Head Chef - Salalah, Oman



Our upscale restaurant in Salalah is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and execute creative and innovative menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and vision
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers and maintain relationships with them
- Train, develop, and lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed while also controlling costs
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, safety standards, and compliance with food hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, pricing strategies, and menu development
- Handle any guest concerns or complaints related to food quality or service promptly

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution preferred
- Proven track record of creating successful menus and managing kitchen operations effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment usage, food safety standards, portion control techniques, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality standards
- Strong communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)

Salary: 1500$ monthly salary plus benefits package including housing allowance.
