Chemical Process Engineer



We are a leading chemical company based in Abu Dhabi and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join our team. As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring their safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research to develop new processes or improve existing ones
- Designing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
- Analyzing data from experiments and pilot plant operations to optimize process performance
- Troubleshooting process issues and proposing solutions
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to plan, design, and implement new processes or equipment modifications
- Monitoring production processes to identify areas for improvement
- Providing technical support to plant operations during start-up, shutdowns, and emergencies
- Conducting feasibility studies for new projects or process changes
- Developing operating procedures for new processes
- Participating in HAZOP studies and providing recommendations for risk reduction

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chemical Process Engineer in the chemical industry
- Knowledge of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS
- Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and other engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles
- Experience with process optimization techniques
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English
