Executive Chef - African Cuisine (Lusail, Qatar)
A luxury hotel in Lusail, Qatar is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef with a passion for African cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef in high-end restaurants or hotels, specializing in African cuisine. This role requires a creative and innovative chef who can develop and execute menus that showcase the unique flavors and ingredients of African cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and authentic menus that showcase the diverse flavors of African cuisine
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, budget management, and staff scheduling
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and service
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to maintain profitability while meeting customer expectations
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu development
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef in high-end restaurants or hotels specializing in African cuisine
- Proven track record of developing creative menus that highlight the unique flavors of African cuisine
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with restaurant management on menu development and operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
