Instrument Technician
A reputable oil and gas company in Al-Khor is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, as well as experience working in the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair various types of instrumentation equipment
- Calibrate instruments and perform regular maintenance to ensure accuracy and functionality
- Troubleshoot control systems and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and develop solutions
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects and tasks within designated timelines
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, reports, and inventory levels
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times while on the job site
- Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and clients to provide updates on project progress
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of various types of instrumentation equipment such as pressure gauges, thermometers, transmitters, etc.
- Experience working with control systems such as PLCs, DCSs, SCADA systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting purposes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills is a plus
Salary: 1000 USD per month (negotiable depending on experience)
