Part-Time Librarian


Our library in Khasab is seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about books and helping others discover the joy of reading. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and book selection, and organizing events and programs to promote literacy.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding out outdated materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide recommendations for books based on their interests
- Plan and organize events and programs such as book clubs, author visits, and workshops to promote literacy in the community
- Maintain a welcoming and organized environment in the library for all patrons
- Keep up-to-date with new releases and trends in literature to ensure a diverse collection of materials for all ages

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for reading and promoting literacy among all age groups
- Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Location:
The role is based in Khasab. Candidates currently residing in or willing to relocate to Khasab will be given preference.
