Instrument Technician (Contract)
Location: Muscat, Oman
We are currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Muscat, Oman. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating various instruments used in industrial processes. This is a contract position with accommodation provided and preference given to candidates with their own visa.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, and analyzers.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective instruments to minimize downtime.
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Install new instruments and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex instrument issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of various types of instrumentation including pressure, level, temperature, flow, and analytical instruments.
- Familiarity with control systems such as PLCs and DCS.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience working in hazardous environments following safety protocols.
