Pastry Chef
Our five-star hotel in Manama is looking for a creative and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, pastries, and breads for our guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and ensure high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads according to recipes and guest requests
- Develop new menu items that showcase your creativity and incorporate seasonal ingredients
- Ensure all products are made to the highest quality standards while adhering to food safety guidelines
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain inventory levels for pastry ingredients and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to ensure seamless service for banquets and events
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in order to continuously improve pastry offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen safety protocols
- Strong creative flair with the ability to develop unique dessert concepts
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in product quality
- Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is preferred
