Librarian (Malayalee) in Al-Khor



We are searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al-Khor. As a Malayalee, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library's collection of books, magazines, and other resources. Your role will involve organizing materials, assisting patrons with research requests, and developing programs to promote literacy and reading within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Catalogue new materials and maintain the library's database
- Assist patrons with finding resources and conducting research
- Develop engaging programs to encourage reading and literacy among community members
- Ensure the library is clean, orderly, and properly stocked at all times
- Monitor and track borrowed materials, enforcing return deadlines
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan events and activities for the library
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends in library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Fluency in Malayalam preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred

Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Al-Khor (accommodation not provided)
