Librarian for a School in Al-Khor, Qatar

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our school in Al-Khor, Qatar. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school library, assisting students and teachers with research needs, and promoting a love of reading and learning.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the school library, including cataloging books and materials
- Assist students and teachers with research needs
- Promote literacy and a love of reading among students
- Plan and conduct library programs such as book clubs and author visits
- Maintain an organized and welcoming library environment
- Keep track of overdue books and collect fines when necessary
- Train students on how to properly use the library resources
- Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans that incorporate library resources
- Stay updated on new books, educational resources, and technology relevant to the school curriculum

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian in a school setting
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to work with students, teachers, and parents from diverse backgrounds
- Passion for promoting literacy and learning among young individuals
- Familiarity with library management software is preferred but not required
