Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Contract)


We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team in Doha on a contract basis. As an Indian national, you will bring a deep understanding and passion for traditional Indian flavors and cooking techniques to our kitchen. You will be responsible for creating and executing menus that showcase the diversity of Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a similar environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative menus featuring authentic Indian dishes
- Ensure high quality and consistency of all food prepared in the kitchen
- Manage food costs by maintaining inventory levels and controlling waste
- Train, lead, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation
- Collaborate with other departments to create special menus for events or promotions
- Maintain knowledge of current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment for the kitchen

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food cost control measures and inventory management
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other departments
- Ability to stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in a kitchen setting
