We are in search of an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel located in Al Buraymi, Oman. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and visually appealing desserts for our guests. You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menu items, ensure high-quality standards are met, and maintain inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a pastry chef, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts including cakes, pastries, breads, and other confections
- Create new menu items that meet the needs of our guests while keeping up with current food trends
- Oversee daily operations of the pastry department including production, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory levels
- Train and manage a team of pastry cooks to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Ensure all health and safety standards are followed in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop dessert options for special events or themed menus

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry decoration methods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail with high standards for quality control
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert ideas that cater to different dietary restrictions or preferences
- Team player attitude with excellent communication skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.

This job is based in Al Buraymi, Oman. While preference will be given to Omani nationals or those who already reside in Oman, we welcome all qualified candidates to apply.
