Barista for a Cafe in Nizwa

A well-established cafe in Nizwa is urgently seeking a skilled Barista to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working as a Barista and be able to handle a high volume of orders while maintaining quality standards. As our cafe caters to both locals and tourists, fluency in English is essential. The selected candidate must also possess excellent customer service skills and be able to create latte art.

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $900 per month, with the possibility of an increase based on performance.

City:
The position is located in the beautiful city of Nizwa, known for its stunning landscapes, traditional souks, and historic forts. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to experience the culture and beauty of Oman while gaining valuable work experience.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided for the selected candidate, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the local lifestyle.

Biometric Passport:
Having a valid biometric passport is highly preferred as it will facilitate visa processing and ensure smooth travel arrangements.

Responsibilities:
• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages according to established recipes
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area at all times
• Ensure quality control by regularly checking the taste, temperature, and appearance of drinks
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of sales
• Upsell cafe products by making recommendations to customers
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
• Prior experience working as a Barista in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and latte art skills
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
• Biometric passport (preferred)
