Librarian (English Speaking)



We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in El-Ain. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the library, including cataloging, organizing, and maintaining the library's collection. You will also be responsible for assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, recommending books and resources, and overseeing circulation activities.

To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for literature and knowledge, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a library setting and possess a strong understanding of library systems and procedures. A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Cataloging new materials into the library system
- Maintaining the organization of the library's collection
- Assisting patrons with research inquiries and recommending resources
- Overseeing circulation activities, including checking books in/out and managing holds
- Keeping track of overdue materials and enforcing fines when necessary
- Creating displays to promote new books or specific genres
- Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of records
- Assisting with budgeting for new acquisitions
- Managing interlibrary loan requests from other libraries
- Providing support to patrons with using library technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is desired
- Strong understanding of library systems and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Customer service oriented attitude
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of different genres of literature

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: El-Ain (accommodation not provided)
