Junior Librarian (Muharraq, Bahrain)



We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Junior Librarian to join our team in Muharraq, Bahrain. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of library resources and providing support to library users. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting in the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
- Providing reference and research assistance to library users
- Maintaining accurate records of library materials and transactions
- Ensuring the smooth operation of library equipment and systems
- Assisting with organizing and promoting library events and programs
- Collaborating with other librarians to develop collections and services that meet the needs of the community

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a library or similar setting
- Familiarity with electronic resources and digital technologies
- Fluency in Arabic or other languages commonly spoken in Bahrain
