Mason - Construction and Maintenance (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our construction and maintenance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures such as walls, floors, and patios using various materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. Your expertise in masonry techniques will be crucial in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine project specifications
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with materials
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning them, removing old mortar or grout, and applying waterproofing or sealing compounds if necessary
- Mix mortar or grout according to specifications
- Lay bricks, stones or other materials in horizontal courses using various techniques such as bricklaying, blocklaying or stone setting
- Cut bricks or other materials to fit around windows, corners or other obstacles
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, hammers and chisels to shape or trim bricks or other materials
- Repair cracks or damaged portions of existing structures using appropriate techniques
- Ensure that all work is done according to safety standards and building codes

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of masonry techniques, tools and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints or drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good balance and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: 1100$ per month
