Head Chef - Indian/Egyptian Cuisine (English Speaking)


We are a high-end restaurant located in the bustling city of Mecca, seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional Indian and Egyptian cuisine to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and creativity in menu creation, along with strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase the best of Indian and Egyptian cuisine, while keeping up with current food trends
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety standards, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Oversee food purchasing, storage, and inventory management
- Monitor portion control to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Manage kitchen budget by controlling costs without compromising on quality
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian/Egyptian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control methods
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
