Pastry Chef



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Muscat, Oman. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our restaurant. Your main duties will include preparing doughs, fillings, and icings, baking and decorating pastries, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake various types of pastries including cakes, cookies, pies, and tarts
- Create new recipes and develop innovative desserts to add to our menu
- Decorate pastries using different techniques such as icing, glazing, piping, and sculpting
- Ensure all pastries meet our high-quality standards in terms of taste, presentation, and freshness
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate pastry orders with food orders
- Train and supervise assistant pastry chefs in proper pastry techniques and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of pastry production techniques and ingredients
- Creativity in designing new pastry recipes with unique flavor combinations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1200 per month based on qualifications and experience.
