Pastry Chef - Nizwa, Oman


As a Pastry Chef in our upscale hotel in the beautiful city of Nizwa, Oman, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually stunning pastries and desserts for our guests. Your creativity and passion for pastry making will be showcased in our fine dining restaurant, as well as banquets and events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute creative pastry menus that align with our hotel's concept and standards
- Oversee the production of all pastries, desserts, and breads for the restaurant, room service, banquets, and events
- Ensure that all pastry items are made to perfection with attention to detail on taste, presentation, and quality
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff on techniques, recipes, and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Extensive knowledge of different pastry techniques including baking, decorating, chocolate work, etc.
- Creativity in developing new flavors and designs while maintaining traditional recipes
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate junior staff members
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Certification in food safety or sanitation is an asset

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month based on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide benefits such as medical insurance, accommodation, and meals.
