Head Chef - Khasab, Oman



Our 5-star luxury resort in the picturesque city of Khasab, Oman is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to managing inventory and maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary requirements
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels and maintain budgetary control for all food items
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards are met
- Collaborate with other departments such as Food & Beverage, Events, and Front Office to ensure smooth operation of all food-related services
- Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve the menu offerings
- Handle any guest complaints or special requests in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with health codes, regulations, and company policies at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, flavor profiles, and plating presentations
- Ability to create unique menus while keeping up with current food trends
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Must be physically fit as this role involves standing for long periods of time

Qualifications:
A degree/diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or above may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Salary:
We offer a highly competitive salary of 1400$ per month, along with other benefits such as accommodation, transportation, and medical insurance.
