Executive Chef

Our restaurant in Manama is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and training of kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that meet our restaurant's standards and client expectations
- Plan and direct food preparation by supervising the kitchen staff
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Train new employees on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs through portion control, waste management, etc.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining traditional menu items
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
