Livestock Specialist


As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of livestock production in our company's farm located in Riyadh. Your main duties will include ensuring the health and welfare of animals, implementing breeding programs, and developing efficient feeding and management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular health checks on livestock and provide necessary treatments or vaccinations
- Monitor feed intake, weight gain, and overall condition of animals
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, breeding, and production data
- Design and implement breeding programs to improve herd genetics
- Develop and implement feeding plans to ensure optimal nutrition for livestock
- Oversee the daily care and management of livestock including feeding, cleaning, and handling
- Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity to ensure the comfort of animals
- Collaborate with veterinarians to diagnose and treat any health issues that may arise
- Train and supervise farm workers on proper animal handling techniques
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to livestock production

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the livestock industry
- Extensive knowledge of animal health, nutrition, breeding techniques, and management practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise staff effectively
- Excellent record keeping skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (Arabic language skills preferred)
- Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends


Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of $1300 per month along with accommodation on our farm.

Location:
This position is based in Riyadh. However, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who are legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
