Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our Indian cuisine kitchen team in Ar-Ruwais. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. This is a hands-on role where you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, including menu development, ingredient sourcing, cooking, and plating. You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a creative and authentic Indian menu that meets the needs of our customers
- Source high-quality ingredients while managing costs and inventory
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Create new dishes and update existing ones to keep the menu fresh and appealing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Monitor food production to ensure timely service while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all food safety regulations and standards to ensure safe handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for guests
- Manage budgeting, ordering, inventory control, and cost management for the kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in an Indian cuisine restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine including traditional cooking techniques, spices, and flavor profiles
- Proven ability to develop creative menus that appeal to a wide range of customers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and communicate with staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures for ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality standards are met at all times
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Ar-Ruwais, United Arab Emirates (UAE)
