Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will lead our pastry team in creating and preparing delicious desserts and pastries for our restaurant in Dar Kulaib. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire pastry department, from menu planning to production and presentation. Your creative flair and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring that all pastries are of the highest quality and meet our standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update pastry menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Train, supervise, and schedule pastry team members
- Oversee production of all pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Ensure that all pastries are made with fresh ingredients and meet food safety standards
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies and equipment
- Monitor food costs and maintain budget for the pastry department
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into pastry creations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, tools, and equipment
- Creative mindset with a passion for desserts and pastries
- Strong leadership skills with ability to train and mentor team members
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Degree or certification in culinary arts or relevant field is preferred
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Dar Kulaib (open to applicants from any nationality)
