Executive Pastry Chef
We are in search of an experienced and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Doha. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our multiple dining outlets and banquets. Your main goal will be to ensure that our guests are delighted by the quality and presentation of our desserts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes and menu items
- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs, ensuring high standards of performance
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Oversee the production of pastries and desserts for all outlets, including special requests for dietary restrictions or allergies
- Collaborate with other chefs to create dessert pairings for menu items
- Create cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or relevant certification
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and menu development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Creativity and ability to think outside the box
- Egyptian nationality preferred with proficiency in English
