Reference Librarian

The Reference Librarian will be responsible for providing high-quality research and reference services to library patrons. This individual will assist users in locating and accessing information through a variety of resources, including print and electronic materials. The Reference Librarian will also provide instruction on how to effectively use library resources and assist with the development and maintenance of the library's collection.

Responsibilities:
- Provide reference services to library patrons, including answering reference questions, conducting research, and assisting with information retrieval
- Instruct users on how to effectively use library resources, including online databases, catalog systems, and other electronic tools
- Develop and maintain the library's collection by selecting new materials, weeding out outdated or irrelevant items, and ensuring proper organization
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement educational programs and events
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in order to make informed recommendations for the improvement of library services
- Assist with managing the library's physical space, including shelving books, maintaining orderliness, and troubleshooting equipment as needed
- Actively promote the use of the library's resources through outreach efforts such as book displays, social media posts, and presentations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Prior experience working in a library or providing reference services strongly preferred
- Knowledge of various research tools and techniques
- Familiarity with library catalog systems and online databases
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse populations
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month along with accommodation.
