Merchandiser for Indian Market in Abu Dhabi


We are seeking a skilled Merchandiser to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specifically focusing on the Indian market. Our company is a retail chain that caters to the needs and preferences of the Indian community in the city. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with experience in merchandising and a good understanding of the Indian market.

Key responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends and preferences within the Indian community
- Develop merchandising strategies and plans to target this specific market segment
- Source, negotiate, and purchase products that cater to the needs of our Indian customers
- Ensure timely delivery of products and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality products
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and make necessary adjustments to optimize sales within the Indian market
- Plan and execute promotions, events, or campaigns targeted towards the Indian community
- Maintain visual displays in-store that appeal to our Indian customers and align with their cultural preferences

Requirements:
- Must be an Indian national with a valid biometric passport
- Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising within the retail industry
- Strong understanding of the Indian market, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers/vendors
- Good analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English; knowledge of Hindi or any other regional language is a plus

We offer a competitive salary package of 1400$ per month along with accommodation. As we are an inclusive company, no English proficiency is required for this position.
