Pastry Chef
Our restaurant is in need of an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Jizan. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts for our menu. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring food safety standards, and training other kitchen staff on pastry techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, pies, and other confections
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on pastry techniques and recipes
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- Creativity and ability to develop new recipes
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Food safety certification preferred (e.g. ServSafe)
- Fluent in English (Malayalees preferred)
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.
