Head Chef
A prestigious hotel in Salalah is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and menu development, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Create menus that are innovative, appealing, and in line with hotel standards.
- Manage food inventory and control costs to meet budgetary requirements.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and catering services.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into the menu design.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients are always available.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a reputable establishment.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards success.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments.
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Passion for creating unique dishes using fresh ingredients.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume establishment
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset)
Salary: 1800$ per month
