Librarian (Malayalee) in Al-Rayyan, Qatar


We are currently hiring a Malayalee Librarian to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and a strong understanding of library operations. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, assisting patrons with their research needs, and organizing community events.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by cataloguing and shelving books
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out books
- Answer reference questions and assist with research needs
- Organize and lead community events such as book clubs and storytime sessions
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space
- Keep up-to-date records of library transactions and materials

Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Malayalam language
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and customer service attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have own visa or valid work permit for Qatar

Salary: 1600 USD per month (tax-free)
Contract Type: Full-time, 2-year contract with possibility for renewal
