Pastry Chef
Medina's top-rated restaurant is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of dessert options for our menu, as well as overseeing the production and presentation of pastries and baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry making, strong creative skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new dessert options for the menu
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
- Decorate pastries using various techniques
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients
- Train and supervise pastry assistants
- Ensure quality control of all pastries produced
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with the executive chef to plan menus
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Proven ability to create unique and visually appealing desserts
- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management skills
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
