Logistics Coordinator


As a logistics coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials for our company in Sharjah. Your main duties will include working with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of products, maintaining accurate records of shipments and inventory, and identifying potential transportation issues and finding solutions.

To excel in this role, you should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. A background in logistics or supply chain management is preferred. Knowledge of import/export regulations and experience with customs clearance procedures is also beneficial.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials from suppliers to customers
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and inventory levels
- Identify potential delays or issues in transportation and find solutions to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor shipment costs to ensure they are within budget
- Manage customs clearance procedures for imported goods
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements
- Make recommendations for process improvements in logistics operations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs clearance procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to speak Arabic is preferred but not required
