Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef at our upscale restaurant in Nizwa, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delicious desserts and pastries. You will work closely with the executive chef and kitchen team to develop innovative menu items and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Develop new recipes while incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Oversee all pastry production, ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the executive chef to plan menus and specials
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques and pastry decoration
- Creative mindset with an ability to think outside the box
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for precise measurements and presentation
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred
Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
