Part-Time Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a part-time basis in Khasab, Oman. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
- Create menus and develop new dishes based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Train, manage, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus that meet budgetary requirements
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, inventory, and employee schedules
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and manage kitchen staff
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dishes that cater to a diverse clientele
Preferred:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution
- Previous experience working in Oman or the Middle East
- Knowledge of local cuisine
