Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Seasonal)
We are a luxury resort located in Medina, seeking an Executive Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team for the upcoming season. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation and presentation, and managing kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English and have experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and ability to create authentic Indian dishes
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train kitchen staff
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus featuring traditional Indian dishes while also incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and ensure that quality standards are met
- Manage inventory and ordering of necessary ingredients
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Work closely with restaurant management to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
