Welder
As a Welder in Salalah, you will be responsible for joining metal parts together through welding, brazing or soldering. Your main duties will include reading and interpreting blueprints, determining the appropriate welding technique and equipment needed for each project, and preparing the materials to be welded. You will also need to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of welding equipment. This is a contract job with free visa and ticket, making it an ideal opportunity for students to gain experience in the field.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience as a Welder, preferably in a construction or manufacturing setting. You should also possess excellent knowledge of different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding. Additionally, you must have good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications
- Determine the appropriate welding technique and equipment needed for each project
- Prepare materials by cleaning surfaces and cutting or shaping them as needed
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welded surfaces for defects and perform corrective measures if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Welder in a construction or manufacturing setting
- Excellent knowledge of MIG, TIG, ARC welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various positions
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards at all times
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
