Librarian - Dubai


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Dubai. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of materials, providing reference services to patrons, and overseeing the library's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of materials, including books, journals, audiovisual materials, and online resources
- Develop and maintain an efficient cataloging system for easy retrieval of materials
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and recommending relevant resources
- Monitor library inventory levels and make recommendations for new acquisitions based on user needs
- Plan and conduct library programs and events to promote literacy and engage with the community
- Train library staff on proper cataloging procedures and use of library software systems
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, including circulation, shelving, and maintenance of equipment
- Stay updated on current trends in library science and implement new technologies or practices as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience working with diverse populations is preferred

Salary: 1400$ per month (tax-free)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Nationality Preference: Indian (open to other nationalities with relevant experience)

This is a full-time position that comes with accommodation provided by the company. Visa sponsorship will also be provided for non-UAE residents. Freshers are welcome to apply.
