Junior Construction Manager
As a Junior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects in Nizwa. Your role will involve working closely with senior construction managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of project plans and schedules
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring cost control measures are in place
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with design teams to review plans and make necessary adjustments
- Prepare reports on project progress for senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools (e.g. Procore)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred:
- Previous experience working on construction projects in Nizwa or Oman
- Knowledge of Arabic language
- Ability to obtain necessary work permits/visas
