Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Muscat, Oman
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at our luxurious resort in Muscat, Oman. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative menus, managing food and labor costs, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. You will also oversee the training and development of kitchen staff, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus that reflect local flavors and utilize fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Monitor food and labor costs to ensure profitability
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain a high level of culinary excellence
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury resort or fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to create innovative menus while also adhering to budget constraints
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations for handling food
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
