Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine in our restaurant located in the bustling city of Al Buraymi, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to our customers. Your main duties will include planning and creating menus, managing kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining food quality standards.
To excel in this role, you must have previous experience as a chef de cuisine or similar position and possess strong leadership skills. You should also be knowledgeable about various cooking techniques and have a creative flair for designing new dishes. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train and manage kitchen staff including cooks, sous chefs, and assistants
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to set recipes and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Oversee food cost control measures to ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef de cuisine or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Creativity in designing new dishes while also adhering to customer preferences
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Knowledge of food cost control measures
- Valid culinary certification preferred
