Executive Chef
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation of our 5-star hotel in Al Buraymi. This includes managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff, creating and executing menus, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant, strong leadership skills, a creative flair for menu development, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month without accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the hotel's culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service
- Manage and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary ingredients to maintain menu offerings
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Create new menus and dishes to keep up with current food trends and meet guest preferences
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions that feature unique dining experiences
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients for the hotel's kitchen
- Control costs by closely monitoring expenses related to food purchasing, labor, and equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent training/education preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, ingredients, and plating techniques
- Ability to create new menus that showcase creativity while meeting guest expectations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
