Information Services Librarian


As the Information Services Librarian at our library in Al-Malikiyah, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and managing the library's information resources. Your main role will be to assist library patrons in finding and accessing information, whether through physical materials or online databases. You will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's collection of books, journals, and other resources. Additionally, you will collaborate with other librarians to create programming and workshops that promote information literacy and research skills.

To excel in this position, you must have a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. You should also have a deep understanding of information resources and be proficient in using technology to access them. Additionally, strong communication skills are essential as you will frequently interact with patrons of all ages and backgrounds. Previous experience working in a library or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patrons with their information needs
- Manage the library's information resources including physical materials and online databases
- Organize and maintain the library's collection
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop programming that promotes information literacy
- Assist with creating displays and exhibits to showcase the library's resources
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in information services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library or similar environment preferred
- Proficient in using technology to access information resources
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Al-Malikiyah (preference for local candidates)
