Chef de Cuisine
The Chef de Cuisine will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. They will be responsible for maintaining high culinary standards and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Indian cuisine and be able to create innovative and authentic dishes that will appeal to our diverse clientele. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The Chef de Cuisine will also be responsible for training and supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed at all times. Responsibilities:
- Create menus that incorporate authentic Indian flavors while also appealing to a diverse clientele
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are prepared according to high culinary standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as needed
- Ensure proper sanitation practices are followed at all times in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu development
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Proven track record of creating innovative dishes that appeal to diverse tastes
- Ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and menu development preferred
